"I am trying to get her to take the bit and she just won't open her mouth for me"

Dear Keith...

Monday, March 27, 2006

Keith: I just purchased a 4year old QH mare, I am trying to get her to take the bit and she just won't open her mouth for me to get it on her. I am a new horse owner, haven't had one in 25 years. She will ride with a harness, but I am more comfortable with a bit. Can you give me an idea of how to get her to take it. Thanks I really appreciate it.
