"Do you think I should change the bar snaffle to a different bit?"

Dear Keith...

Saturday, March 18, 2006

I have a 6 year old gelding I'am working with him in the bit that is a snaffle with a bar he seems to be almost tough mouth when he gets in a hurry forward walk.and trot. He had been used with his reins through rings that held his head down to control him.. a running martingale I'am trying to change over to less pressure on his mouth. Do you think I should change the bar snaffle to a different bit? and what kind? please advise. thank you.. Dorothy
